The Audio Department helps with many different events in the Center. They can set up small sound systems in the lobby for performances or lectures, medium size systems in the theaters for certain shows, or they can even fly larger systems for more major shows.
There are professionals who run this department who work with graduate and undergraduate students.
The Audio Department is also
responsible for recordings. Touring artists who are performing at Krannert
can contact the Center a few days ahead of time. They can come in a little
early and the Audio Department will make a recording for them in the Great
Hall. Faculty, staff, and students of the University- specifically the resident
departments- also produce recordings from the Great Hall with the help of
the Audio Department.
